In Memory of my beautiful mother
Gloria Bayla (Golden Sunshine) Berger
passed away while five months pregnant
at the tender age of 27
while on holiday in a remote Mexican coastal village
You taught me all about True Love
It's taken me a while
to get back to that
heavenly place

May your sudden departure
from this earthly plane
serve as a reminder
that Love trumps
everything
else
In honour of my dad, Michael Berger,
who had a next to impossible mission;
to raise two boys almost completely on his own.
I know that you gave it everything you had
and continue to do so.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
