I had been at an all night party at a beautiful retreat center about an hour outside the city of Toronto. Although Toronto means 'meeting place', it seems hard to believe that loneliness and boredom seem to be a big part of the experience of so many who live here.
At the all night party, I met new people and reconnected with dear friends from days gone by. One woman was dancing and it was as though I saw her as if for the first time even though I had met her at a festival quite a few years ago.
Later that evening, back at home in the city, these lovely songs came floating to my ears ~ to me, a sign that 2023 is truly going to be a year flowing with love.
