Victor Wooten, one of the best bass players in the world is an example of someone who clearly found his purpose in life and is sharing that with others.
He started a music camp set in a natural setting that is uplifting humanity and changing people's lives and inspiring people to find more joy, connection and happiness in life.
He says that music is not about how good I play my instrument, how good my technique is; it's about, 'Can I bring people together with this music?'
There is a Japanese concept called Ikigai which helps a person discover what their purpose in life is; fundamentally, the concept gets one to imagine three concentric circles. One circle represents what you love to do, the other circle focuses on what the world needs the most and the third is abundance in all forms. Where they intersect, lies your Ikigai or purpose of life.
The word 'Education' comes from the latin 'educare' which means to uncover. So, the whole purpose of education is supposed to be to uncover one's true talents and abilities and encourage them to follow those passions. Unfortunately, the education 'system' that most have experienced, more than anything, covers up one's natural talents and produces people who have more of a 'factory' mentality ~ people who have gotten conditioned to showing up at some job on Monday morning and doing that for the next forty or more years of their life.
Thank God for people like Victor Wooten who helps people discover a more spirit-filled life.
